Changing your AGM month and balance date

How to request a change

An incorporated society is permitted to change its annual general meeting (AGM) month and balance date. To do this, however, your society must be up to date with the filing of all its financial statements.

What is your ‘balance date’?

The ‘balance date’ is the last day of an incorporated society’s financial year.

If your society is a charity registered under the Charities Act 2005, its balance date will already be listed on the Charities Register. This same date must be used for the Incorporated Societies Register.
